APOLLO
God of the Sun
OVERVIEW
Stellar Renewal
Apollo favors long extended fights against enemies that don't do very much damage. As a result he fares much better against clever, grindy teams like Poseidon than direct damaging foes like Ares.
His main fleet is led by a tank called the Griffin. It doesn't do much damage, and mostly exists to slow units. If you use missiles, he'll mix in a variant that uses the anti-missile system. The Griffin's high block value pairs well with Apollo's substantial healing.
Most of the main fleet's damage from from the Helios, a long-range unit that comes in missile and laser varieties based on enemy speed. The missile version uses two Inferno Launchers to deal damage over time.
Early on, Apollo will use the Raven to skirmish with light units and later on it will work with the fleet to focus on low health targets, taking advantage of the effects of its Final Shot ability.
Finally, Apollo has two versions of a healer known as the Oracle. The first is a traditional healer that focuses on the most damage allies, but uses the Solar Beam to reduce the effects of debuffs. The second is a light healer which uses the Omen Beam to buff allies while providing distributed healing across the fleet.

MAP
Delphi Temple
A highly stable map type that encourages gradual advancement toward each other.
It has a lot of asteroids, but few free-floating minerals at the start of the game.
This map is fairly balanced, offering players a variety of ways to engage:
Some minerals in the rear and flanks which are "safer"
A larger concentration that are close to the base ships to the player that controls the center.
PATHS TO VICTORY
Dealing With Healing
Spike damage - meaning a large amount of damage focused to one target all at the same time - can knock out units before Apollo's healers can restore them.
Use the HadesMod to temporarily disable healing on Apollo's units during combat. You'll need to apply some clever code to make sure you spread this to as many targets as possible.
